Digital Literacy

Developing Digital Storytelling skills (making short videos) enables students to create their own original videos. This process fosters critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration.  These skills are the first step in re-engaging students

Since the earliest existence of human communities, telling stories has been the most powerful means of communication. Today, with the accessibility of digital devices, our youth relate to their own ideas and stories created and presented through short videos.

Learning the art of Digital Storytelling empowers students and enhances their sense of self, engages them in their learning process, and expand’s their ability to communicate with the world they live in.

This completly revolutionizes the educational experience.

4ShayJ Foundation

The 4ShayJ Foundation was created in May, 2015, after the accidental death of our 19-year old son, Shaun Jr. (ShayJ).  He lost his life March 31, 2015, in a skateboarding accident - in which he was not wearing a safety helmet.

It is our mission to change the way children think about helmet safety.  We visit schools and talk to children about the importance of wearing helmets.

Through the support of our community and public donations, we provide safety helmets to children who can not afford them.

The Austrian Woman. A lecture on Marie Antionette

Vinny Stoppia, a native from the Big Apple, survived and thrived through sixteen years of parochial education. He worked for twenty-three years at the United Nations Headquarters observing the political luminaries of the Cold War Era.

For more than fifty years, Vinny gobbled up anything about eighteenth century France - in particular, the singular Queen of France, Marie Antoinette. His narrative about the life of this lightning-rod monarch, The Austrian Woman, is the culmination of a life long passion to recall her story.

Vinny moved to Palm Springs, California in 1993. In his free time, Vinny enriches his life by volunteering for several organizations. He has scant time to misbehave in the desert paradise because his dog, Teddy, keeps him on a tight leash.
